Chassis Identification

Postby bilulufc2b » Wed Oct 05, 2016 7:06 am

Hi there I have a 2bFC that was CKD and assembled in SA.
As I'm considering selling I decided to have a look to see where the chassis was stamped but after scraping away the underseal to the front drivers side (at the spring hanger) there is no sign! Where should this stamp be located?

Thanks
Bilulu.

They usually have it on the front dumb iron, but it isn't unknown for them not to have had one stamped in.

I've heard of them being around the swinging shackle hangers for the rear springs, but it wouldn't surprise me if there wasn't one at all.

Check left front dumb iron for the chassis number.
