Mega! Did you get another engine with it?
Where abouts in the country are you, down south?
Are you going to Gaydon with it?
At some point we should try and get my wagon, Wrecker's, V8Nick's and yours together.

The guy had a spare 6 pot, but forgot to tell me that he had no engine crane! Took me over an hour to get the engine on the trailer then in the back of the one ton, I hope it's not just another sea anchor!
I'm in Hampshire, I'd love to go to gaydon and dunsfold, however my business is summer based and as such I can't spare too many weekends , bit of a bummer really, although august is often a bit quieter I fancy going to leafers a t'pit.
It would be great to meet others to compare

Thank you, other than unbinding the front brakes and change the nas front wheel cylinders I've done nowt but just enjoy it, it's putting a big grin on my face just driving around in it. I hoping there's not much to be done for the foreseeable other than a bit of routine servicing.22900013A wrote:Congratulations on the purchase, I hope you will keep us informed of your progress.
My attention, when I can spare it, should be on the 2b I've been rebuilding for two years, I haven't been able to motivate myself to get out in the workshop in the winter evenings as much as perhaps I could have, it's currently at rolling chassis stage

I hoping things will calm down a bit at work in August and I might sneak away fir a few days into the workshop!

Hi dan22900013A wrote:How are you getting on with your 1-Ton and Fc Trebo?
I don't think I've touched the fc for 3 months or maybe more it's really no more than a rollng chassis! I run a marquee hire business so 15-16 hour days during the week are the norm till the end of September. However in august I purchased a complete rear body, now I need to cut out about 60% of the upper chassis rails out , which had be altered by a previous owner to accommodate a tipper body, and fab new upper chassis rails to accept the standard body, I hoping to get back into the "rythme" of getting out in the evenings when I start finishing work at a more reasonable time.
The one ton is great, I regularly drive it to work, the exhaust manifold is blowing but other than that it needs very little. It puts a smile on my face every time I climb up into the cab!

Remember driving that when it was at Buss farm ( where Darling Buds was filmed ) when it had "Pat Heard" sign written on it
Re: 22900156H
That's right, roger had it recommisioning onto a new chassis then painted it blue to match the truck used in the series
