I think i had the wrong points set, changed the codenser as well now and all seems fine. I do have a problem of lots of smoke out of the oil breathers, i'm thinking that might be piston rings :? any body got any thoughts :?:

Photos of the camping trip to Wales attached. Made it there and back with no serious issues. I am burning quite a lot of oil on over run so down the steep hills was interesting for the guys behind me. I did quite well on the climb up the A470 pass at Dinas Mawddwy. Going west it was second gear about 20mph, although the engine temp went up to 90, hotter than i have ever seen it get :!: (normaly 70-75).Going east was easy mostly thrid geat at about 25mph and a normal engine temperature :) also i sem to be getting close to 12mpg on the gas, i think that is pretty good :)

THe new jib did a good job as a bike rack, but it misses all the bungee points the old jib had. I will have to give that some thought.

I need to have a look and see where all this oil smoke is coming from. I am a bit nervious about taking it all apart in case i find something terminal :( I think a TDI would be too noisy) i did wonder if i shoud try and shoe horn a V8 in, but ultimatly i am hoping i can fix the current 6 cyl engine. :?
