Santana 1300 Forward Control

Postby DasLandRoverMan » Thu Dec 06, 2012 7:41 pm

Interesting little trucks, produced from 1967 through to 1978.
Based on the standard 2.25 109 chassis and running gear.

I'd like to know a bit more about them. I'd rather enjoy getting my hands on one to mess about with also. Whilst some might look horrified at the thought, I must say: It has potential!!!

Santana were technically very advanced and interesting, but they did tend to get stevie wonder in to do the styling...

I'm fortunate in that I have a large yard available to hide things in, just no money to buy anything to hide in it.

Still, if I could find one and get it back to the UK for a few hundred quid (not likely) then it'd be here!!!

I know what you mean ,if i had won the lotto the norway collection would have been in my sights. Then the other half would leave me ,take what was left of the money ,and no funds for the rebuild.the heartache ,at least now if i can get away with a couple of hours out the back without to much moaning.Apart from parts landing on the door matt on a regular basis .

This one is in Oporto! It's from a well known LR breaker...it's working!

They are strangely attractive trucks.

Absolutely screaming to have the arches trimmed out, a set of wider wheels and some bigger tyres though.
Perhaps even One Ton suspension?
