Tie rod rubber underneath the gearbox

Postby 1960SeriesII » Mon Apr 25, 2016 6:51 am

The "So you think you know Land-Rovers..." topic has got me thinking - the rubbers on the tie rods beneath the gearbox are shot, would need replacements but can't find any available. Does anyone know a source? I could not find part no. in the catalogue as the rubbers are either not there or are hiding in a section in which I wouldn't go looking for them...

Cheers, will take a look at mine as those on my truck look different-shaped, but it may be due to their deterioration.

They're the same as the smaller size lower bushes for 109 rear shock absorbers aren't they? The ones shaped thus;

If you get the idea from that? They're also useful for the top of the ARB links on the front of a IIB also.

Just read the links, seems not.

They do work for the Anti Roll Bar though.

Cheers, much appreciated, apparently the main problem was my ignorance of how it's called - the actual availability of the part doesn't look that problematic :lol:
