Dear me. It's not been a week, and already we have new animal. Maybe an error, now we 505489? I'm doing some digging. Standby.

Turns out to be an error, not 505489, another 503489 rim has turned-up. Still can't say what it is, or where this variant comes from. But not to be sniffed at. More than Pressing C it looks to have heaps of deepset. Nearly as much as a proper Pressing D Type 8 & 9.

Will put it back in when I've got it right. This posting took forever to collate, let alone write. I still find holes and ambiguities. Fortunately this forum allows me to correct these. The 'other place' would not permit additions and corrections, this allowed my errors to run. Not here.

I'll keep it fluid, simply because the more I've looked at this, attempts to bring order to this when there simply wasn't any, means to do it properly I have to. eg: as we speak eBay has an example of the mythical 503489. Yet, I can't get the pics and the info to nail it. Sad I know, yet, come hell or high-water, I really do want to get to the bottom of this rim. I'll add info when I have the definitive.

503489? Oh good, I know you play ball. That one on eBay.... seems there's what appears to be, another version of 503489 with still more 'deepset'. Info escapes my clutches, seller would not play ball.

This is the perennial problem, verifiable info is hard to get. It refuses to be put together easily.

I'm done with the banding section and added all I have on 503489.

Shnice, banding done like this is pricey though.
