Would love to, but work says no...! Strange considering i've got a contract working for this month, but I asked, and they only allow facial hair if fully formed when taken on!!!

It's not much different if you're self employed.

I asked the boss (semi seriously) and she said no! (Very seriously)

Thats okay guys, you can all just sponsor me.

Sounds like your boss is a knob and doesn't realise discrimination rules exist in the work place.
I'd remind him of those rules, and that it's only for a month for charity. Maybe he would feel differently if he had Prostrate Cancer.
