mot exemptions have they changed

ive just put some reg number's of mine in to the vehicle inquiry service one is a 1964 the other is 62 both came up mot exempt is that correct?, have they changed the mot exemptions year/cut of it was jan 1960?

As far as I was aware the general standing was 1960.
It's not.impossible they were previously registered as MOT exempt for other reasons, though you would need to have them correctly registered as 'historic' and MOT'd accordingly now.

il give you the numbers so you can do a check, AYH863B LAND ROVER, 3572AW JAGUAR, THESE BOTH COME UP MOT EXEMPT, the land rover is 1964, the jag is 62, so why do they both come up mot exempt, the land rover is ex army series 1 but i owned 25 years ago and it had been re registerd but the dvla records havnt been updated that its even tax exempt its not been on the road for 25 years, the jag has not been on the road since 81, its a 62 car that im restoring, it wasn't registered over seas or re registered over hear its a 62 car, but both landy and jag coming up mot exempt, do the check your self
