Might be a silly question, but....Anyone knows how these work?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321927926315? ... EBIDX%3AIT
Can't understand exactly how this works.
Is this a direct replacement part?Take one and fit another?
Or they fit on to the outer shell of the original ones?
Any pics?

I would guess they are a direct swap, but they look very little like the originals.

it must be a swap out for the whole motor assembly

, but i don't see how it is held to the windscreen frame. It also has a different fitting for the wiper arms, so i guess you need to buy new wiper arms to go with it. it is not obvious to me how this all works.

I had both of the original wiper motors working in the truck; but hey were slow.
I imagine they have the 1960s grease still in them.
I think they would be fine if stripped and regreased and would look much better!

Yes they are slow...but have to take it to MOT next week and at that speed it's fail motive...don't have the time to do that till then.
Trying to find a temporary solution...and have a spare aside.
But can't quite understand how they're attached

Long bolts through to the outside of the frame

I would recommend a good squirt of WD40 and possibly a new power suppply cable.. you can test the voltage at the terminal it may be trying to run on 8v or something silly. , or just try a new cable run from the dash board power suply sockets... i also think you only need the drivers side to work, but dont quote me on that.
ps the originals have two very long studs that run through the window frame and ther then held on with nuts and locknuts. ( thats the bit i can not see on these replacment parts

)
