£43 Very Nice.
Identification:
I can assure you all three of the previous pics are sporting proper 203s. In fact in my mind in those pics Dan's wagon looks to be the shallower, the stagey next-up and the 88 the deepest. That is the real issue with these. The optical illusion coupled with camera angle means they all look differnet. I can assure you, all looked at in unison, and at the same angle Dan's would look no different. In fact if you look hard they are the same now.
I will admit wrongful identification of Dan's once. I wouldn't mind but I like to think I know what I'm looking at! On the other hand outside of photos, in the flesh, each shouts at you.

Re: Rim rims rims...
Might this be caused by the tyres, considering the 88" is on 205s(?) , the 109" on 7.50s and then SEB on 900s?

Re: Rim rims rims...
What do we know about the ANR rims, supposedly named 130 rims?
I don't think 130s initially had deep dish rims at all if these photos of early vehicles are anything to go by. These look like ordinary 5.5" rims to me.

However by the end of the 80s they had made an appearance. This is a pre-1989 vehicle as I think that is when the "130" nose badge was introduced.

Re: Rim rims rims...
I noticed CLR magazine had a feature on wheels in the latest issue. Some small mention of 1-Ton rims etc but not much info. I saw the "1 ton rims are such and such an offset" mentioned, and no mention at all of the (at least) two different types of rim. Their illustrative photo showed a pair of deep dish rims on an 88" fitted with 7.50s...sigh.

Re: Rim rims rims...
I know it's been too long, but I still haven't got LD & Champ rims entirely nailed. I now revive this thread with my rewrite. Give me 3-4 days to collate all the pics.
