The mystery of the name "easychange gearbox" I think has been solved. It is nothing to do with changing from high to low range on the move, in fact it is still necessary to double de-clutch through the box even with an all-helical box.
The reason for the name is that it was "easy" to change the gear ratios, although I am not sure why this would be done, but it was definitely something to do with a different transfer box set-up.
