Vechile registration

Postby deene999 » Sat Jun 22, 2013 8:11 pm

Could someone help please? Does anyone know the process for registering a vechile. I'm looking at 1 that's for sale at the moment but isn't registered here and doesn't have a log book.

Be wary. If its a civvy model then possible Id was "acquired" for another vehicle which could make it messy. However it is fairly common for ex mil that have never been registered. Get mot and contact dvla for inspection after which you will get docs

Ex-service or not, be CAREFUL. It can be a pain. Unless you can 'Prove' identity, you'll be in 'schtuck'. If there's a sniff that the reg is now on a Tax-exempt Debender, you've had it. You'll end in the finish witha Q plate or some abberation.
