The story I heard was that as the guy who had it decided the I.D. On it didn't match what it was supposed to be (I don't remember exact details of what came from where but anyways) so rather than follow the usual train of thought that its been quite happily running round as was for a good number of years so let it continue to do so it was chopped up and parted out.
A shame really as it was an interesting vehicle.

Sorry guys, that's a standard 2.25 petrol 109 station wagon. It got a new chassis and the 900's years ago.

Re: One ton station wagon
I don't think anyone was implying or suggesting it was a factory 1-Ton station wagon, as we know, none were built. I just posted it up as another example of a station wagon on 900x16s.udo1-ton wrote:Sorry guys, that's a standard 2.25 petrol 109 station wagon. It got a new chassis and the 900's years ago.

You're right, Dan. I only wantred to explain it was no military truck or anything else on 900s.
It's a very well maintenanced truck and it is in the owners hand for several decades. It is often used for long journeys with a sankey trailer behind. The owner rebuilt it for his special use many years ago.

As an aside, I do know that some 109 SWs did have dropped suspension mounts, I saw one in North Yorkshire on a Dormobile conversion.
