Hello all, I have received my 109 iiA FC yesterday. It is a ex SADF ambulance ,chassis number 28800268B. Everything is 100% original except for the ambulance equipment that has been removed and the colour of the vehicle . I am gonna try keep it as stock as possible with a built in double bed in the back. More about me, I am a total Land Rover nut! I have a 88" series I that was originally from Robbin island, a series ii 88" CKD ,a 2006 Td5 110 and my latest addition a 1965 series iiA 109 Forward control.

Hi Rhudi

Welcome to the forum. Good to hear that another SADF FC has survived.

I'm in Pta, where are you based?

Hi Rhudi

Welcome to the forum from across the Indian Ocean, and yes I too have an ex SADF FC although its one of the SIIB (Radio Relay vans)

We're currently in the middle of a project to couple a stumpy bellhousing R380/LT230 in place of the 1 Ton box. This will give me 7% higher gearing in gears 1 through 4 and 30% overdrive 5th and Low range will be about the same as the original low range.

Jip, my neck gets sore as your pics are upside down at the moment.

Nice truck! Have a look at these pics, your truck in a previous life perhaps? http://www.900club.org/viewtopic.php?f= ... 1854#p1854
