Morning All,
Thought I’d join up and see if there is still some interest out there! I’ve just managed to get hold of my 3rd 2B forward control. SNV110G which has a lovely white (household emulsion) type paint job, but is an almost entirely original home market 2.25 Diesel 2B.
It runs and sort of drives, but needs the clutch slave cylinder replacing to make it truly a driver!
I would ask if anyone knows the whereabouts of my previous 2B which was a Perkins engined beast which I owned some 24-25 years ago, it came to me with no back end of the cab and top so the only thing available was 2 x 109” back bodies, which I joined together to make a single “pick-up body” on the back, with ally flaps to cover the wheel arch holes where they didn’t need to be.
It got painted JCB yellow as I wasn’t that well off at the time and it’s all I had (and the front end was Yellow already, I assume as it may have been a cherry picker at some point) and I sold it to someone connected to the then FC register based in London near Manor Royal industrial estate/bottom of the M1 in London.
I’ll try and dig out a photo of the number plate and would appreciate if anyone knows where she might be I would appreciate it!!
I’m also looking for the front end of a 2B ideally (but a 2A would work) as I have a hulk with no numbers that seems to have seen better days, the back end is OK, but the front not, so wanted to find a way to cost effectively put her back on the road... I have most of the undercarriage, but was looking for the bits from the front axle forward (not including the front axle) so body work and steering and body support framework etc.
If anyone has any of this please let me know as would love to get another one back on the road once I’ve done the Clutch on SNV110G.... I’ll get bored otherwise!
