Hello from Florida

Greetings from Florida, USA.

Technically I don't have a one-ton. What I have is a 2a 109 Dormobile that I want to put a one-ton chassis under. The fabricator is warning that the steering relay is a very different bolt on affair. Every reference I have found so far suggests that they are the same.

Would someone be so kind as to expand on this.

Thank you,
Will

He's most likely confusing 'One Ton' with 'Stage 1' which does have a different steering relay setup.

The One Ton uses the same relay and mounting -Although the steering box is a different ratio- as the contemporary Series IIA/III.

They may also be on about the steering damper bracket, which comes in two flavours - bolt on or welded on. They were bolt on on 1-Tons and then welded on on later vehicles.
