Hi all, just joined the forum and looking forward to learning more about the 1 ton & hopefully owning one, one day soon. The first picture of a 1 ton had me hooked at 14 years old , a Kennings wrecker in a 4x4 magazine. My first car was a 1963 2a 88 ex wrecker from a local garage which I had to give the harvey frost back as part of the deal was then sprayed bronze green by my dad . Since then my dad & I have owned lots of landies , but whenever a 1 ton came up I was never in position to buy it . Then in 2000 a chance phone call yielded a chap with 2 tacr1's for sale a 2a & a 3 !!!! Not a 1 ton but the closest I could find . By the time I got over to view them the 2a was sold so a deal was done & I owned 30AG49 . I did have the intention of converting it to a 1 ton look alike but after finding out how rare they were sold it on to a chap who restored it beautifully in 2002. So the search goes on , I have collected lots of magazine articles on 1 tons & other landies with 900' s on including both land rover 1 ton sales brochures. I have a lead on a abandoned 1 ton & hope to find it in the next couple of days so fingers crossed. Looking forward to some interesting conversations........

Hi, sorry I don't know anything about the 2a tacr1 other than it was red , in good condition and I think sold to someone in Germany.
