Interesting to see these in "imperialist pig" livery, the pounds must have come in handy back then :lol:

Spares are not that easy to come by, but they are available and aren't pricey. UAZ 452 can be surprisingly capable offroad if handled by the typically fearless Russian drivers, but I hear they are underpowered. Quite a fan of them myself, they really are the vehicle of choice across most remote places in many post-Soviet countries.

Videos on youtube show them as prettycapable. I think they had axle lockers (maybe on the rear axle only) as well as a centre difflock. According to blokes who drove them for SEB they were just as capable as a Land Rover.
