Remember the doors are not square on the red ones, they are left angled out to meet the body work, that makes the cabs look wider. Could that be it :?:

I would agree with the first one, being a IIA, it's fairly well known that a lot of later IIA's had IIB type front panels fitted, especially for ones used for fire engine conversions, more specifically export ones.

It's also known that some converters ordered export spec vehicles rather than home market ones for a variety of reasons.

This FC came for a visit years ago when we lived on the coast.
