Very interesting.
I doubt there were very many built in the first place, and I think this is the only one I've seen outside of period photographs or advertising.

Very nice. I always rather liked the look of these, you would hardly know they were a Land-Rover. Welcome. Your 109" looks nice too.

Here are some more photos.
By the way the VIN is 34801846H and i have the origional papers from the Austrian Firefighters. The VIN is not listed as FC, so maybe you know more.
Body is made by MARTE in Austria, sadly they have no more information about the FCs they build, there is estimated to be 20 to 70 made.

Interesting the chassis sequence is a LHD Export six cylinder number for between 66-71.

A few fire engine converters continued building FC trucks after the IIB was discontinued by converting standard 109 chassis to an FC spec, but this would have been from 1972 onwards, so it's a possibility it started life as a standard 109 and was converted to an FC spec, although I suspect the mechanicals (engine, box, suspension, axles etc) would all be IIB type parts.

Searching on the chassis for the number stamped in the front dumb iron might present more clue's?
Also, are they ENV or Salisbury type axles? Solihull built IIB's had ENV axles, but later F suffix CKD trucks sat on Salisbury ones.

When was this one converted?

Registration is May 1972, Transmission is from a Oneton and the Chassis Number is the one i wrote. It has ENV axles.
